2008 NSL Week 2: 

Sunday April 27, 2008  - 135th & Central - Crestwood - 1:00pm

Warta "A" dropped their first game of the season to KF Ulqin by a 1:2 score. 

Greg Stephenson scored the go ahead goal right in the first minutes of the game, off a great cross from Javid Ferguson.  After that the game became balanced, as both teams creating chances but failed to finish it off.  Warta had most of the chances as the first half should have been in great favor of ours.  Morales hitting the post, Borys missing out great chances and Ferguson could not finish great runs.  Ulqin got a late equalizer off a quickly taken free kick which referee allowed after telling the home side to wait. 

Second half was not much different, this time both team creating more chances, Ferguson missing just from yards out, Cozza hitting the post and Stephenson hitting the cross bar.  The home side had few great chances also which they could not finish off.  Not until the final minutes of the game, as Bello missing an one on one with the keeper and a counter attack cost our team dearly.  Just minutes left Warta had two more chances to equalize but poor finishing prevented us from earning an away point.

Warta has few new faces on the team, and some players made a return to complete the roster.  Among the new faces Bello, Morales and Gonzalez, Davis made his return to the squad.  It was the first game for the team to play with the new faces and the newcomers will be a great help to the team.

2008 NSL Week 2: 

Sunday April 27, 2008  - Albanian Center  4:00pm

Warta "B" could not manage to drop Albanian Stars as they were blanked 4:0..  The entire game was played with just eleven players as some could not make the Sunday afternoon game.  Among the absent were: Jarzabek, Worek, Wdowiarz, Luks, and Call.

Albanians took a lead off a mistake in the back line and miscommunication with the keeper, as Warta had just few great shot on goal and couple time missing the goal by inches.  In the second half, Albanians took advantage of the no sub for Warta and kept the pressure coming at which they got rewarded with three more goals, sending Warta home defeated and blanked out.
