Warta
fighting for survival!
Wartas’ first team is fighting to stay alive and out of
the relegation spot to avoid being demoted to the First Division for next
season. With their first win at
home against Deportivo Colomex, the team prepares to face HNNK Hrvat this
coming Sunday. The win against
Hrvat, the team will still see a daylight and with great hopes of remaining
in the top flight after a very poor start.
It took the team 16 matches to capture first win since they have won
in the 2007/08 Indoor Season back in January.
With six more games left the team will play
five of their matches with the bottom part of the table, of which every
point will count. Just being
one point back of Royal, six behind Jahbat FC and just five points back of
Hrvat the team still has a great chance to escape the relegation.
All the pieces finally started to come
together after the signing back some of the key players, which the club made
during the summer break. This
will not conclude the roster for the second half of the matches, as some of
the newly signed players will make their return back to their original clubs
in September. The Club is in
process of signing newly acquainted players, as they show interest in the
club.
It was a very poor season for the team, as
they struggled in their Indoor as well as outdoor this year, which was the
worst in their history. After a
very successful outdoor season last year, the team managed only three wins
in their last two Indoor and Outdoor combined seasons so far.
Now the last few weeks will be the most important to the first teams
history, as they prepare to start the climb back up the ladder from which
they fell.
